Dr Sahu is a Consultant Radiologist working at HCA group, Circlehealthgroup and OSD Healthcare groups with Musculoskeletal (MSK) interest. He worked as a substantive Consultant at London Northwest Healthcare NHS Trust, London and now works as Bank there. He undertook structured Royal College approved radiology training (FRCR) in Southwest England and visited the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore as a fellow. He worked as a senior Lecturer at University of Buckinghamshire and Gulf pain school .
He has done MS Orthopaedics from India in 2003 and has worked as Orthopaedic surgeon in UK for another 5 years doing various fellowships. He decided to change career in 2009 and switched from Orthopaedics to Radiology in order to specialise in MSK Radiology.
Dr Ajay Sahu has worked in NHS for a total of 20 years with almost 10 years as a Consultant Radiologist at London Northwest Healthcare University NHS Trust. He works closely with a large team of Orthopaedic surgeons, Rheumatologists and Sports Physicians. He also practicing general and oncall radiology including paediatrics. He has won Injury (Elsevier) prize in 2009 in British Trauma Society Meeting, UK and Certificate of Merit at RSNA 2011. He is regularly invited to present his findings at conferences around the world. He is experienced in elite sports, having worked as Sports Radiologist in the world athletic championship 2017 (IAAF). He regularly works with eminent and renowned sports physicians and finds his Orthopaedic background of 9 years as extremely helpful in his day to day MSK Radiology practice. He regularly teaches on MSK imaging courses, FRCR 2B courses, along with producing multiple peer reviewed publications.
He is an expert in musculoskeletal and sports imaging, both diagnostic and intervention. He does all sorts of ultrasound and CT guided procedures. He has won Injury (Elsevier) prize in British Trauma Society Meeting, UK.
He is a reviewer of several referred scientific journals including British medical journal and Journal of hand Surgery. He has published approximately 28 indexed articles and been a keynote speaker with 194 overall presentations and lectures in international and national meetings.
